Only some twenty kilometres far from the ancient Diocletian's town, in the immediate vicinity of lavish hills of the Kastela field and the mediaeval city of Trogir, the Split Airwport is situated. It is the most significant Croatian airport on the Adriatic coast.
A safe and expedient traffic of passengers and cargo is guaranteed by modern equipment, vehicles and devices, as well as a qualified and experienced staff all the year long, mostly due to the mild Mediterranean climate. Open daily between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. and longer if required, the airport offers service to passengers on home and international flights of Croatia Airlines, Adria Airways and several charter airlines. With a number of 580.000 passengers in 1995 the Split-Kastela Airport connects Split to Zagreb, Rome, Amsterdam, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Istamboul and Ljubljana, and via Zagreb and Ljubljana to all European and overseas destinations. The assortment of basic services is extended and complemented by the Split Airport own catering: preparing meals on board planes and in restaurants and cafes, shops, consignment sale, duty free shops and other services. The Split-Kastela Airport is more than fully prepared for the Croatian tourist come-back. Welcome!
